Is it advisable to use the Bissell LITTLE green® Portable Deep Cleaner on carpeted surfaces in the footwells... Will water be trapped under the carpets and cause unwanted smells ?

I will probably be getting one to cleanup my apartment as well as my car :)

Oh ya... has anyone used these types of machines on convertible tops ? Is it safe ?

THANKS

I have a little green, also, and plan to use it on the floor mats the next time i detail!

Moisture is no problem if you let them air dry afterwards, before replacing them.

It works great on house carpets, so why not try it in the car???

Good luck!:xyxthumbs

actually i was referring to the carpetted surfaces that installed in the interior besides the floormats.

oh.

i think it would be fine, just let it air out(doors open or windows open for awhile).:)

I've never tried before because i just scothguarded the permanent carpet when we bought it, and it just doesn't seem to get dirty!

I use a Bissel "little green" machine for cleaning interior carpeting. I spray a mist of the cleaning solution, agtitate the carpeting with a good stiff brush, then extract the dirt. Work a small section at a time. For the difficult areas, like the areas between the seats, I use a spray bottle of solution and use my wet/dry vac with the crevice attachment to pick up the dirt.

The carpeting should be just slightly damp to the touch when done. You can use a hair dryer or the car's heater to complete the drying process.

I use the same methofd for carpeted floor mats. If the mats are really soiled, I pull out my Hoover steam-vac carpet machine!
