Using car soap and water as a clay lube?

I've always used the diluted car soap formula for lube. Last time though, I grabbed a bottle of Spray & Wipe. It worked so much better. I was using the elastic clay as oppossed to the Clay Magic clay.
 
what is the diff between the plastic and elastic?? i mainly use sonus green clay and i believe it is elastic.. i use it with nxt soap and water and have no problems with clay breaking down, scratching. seems to do well for me..
