thanksalot

I don't use them, but when you do, just make sure you thoroughly wash all the dirt off the car (I know that sounds stupid, but you'd be surprised) and that should help the obsorber to stay clean.

The swirls will come when you get dirt particles on the obsorber or whatever you use to wash and dry the car with and then wipe and scratch them all over the car. The scratchs are small, micro in most cases, but after enough of them accumulate, you'll see the swirls.

Even on a brand new car a lot of the dealership washers will wash the car quick with a power washer and dry it quick leaving a film of dirt on the car, then they dry it by hand and swirl it all up.

I use a high velocity leaf blower, then touch up with Zaino Z8 and a MF towel, not cotton towel. I always make sure my washing mitts and buckets remain clean as well.:xyxthumbs

i used to use an absorber, they're okay. They have a tendency to "stick" the the paint though if you do the dragging method. The blotting method is the best way with those.

I much prefer waffle weave towels now after using them

A few years ago, I used the Absorber. But the streaking was maddening. Now I have Waffle Weaves and I'm never looking back.

All the answer thus far seem speculative. Does the Absorber in fact mar or cause swirls? Anyone experience this?

Never had any trouble when I used it. The material itself won't scratch, but as with any drying media: imbedded dirt from continued use w/o washing or a dirty surface will cause it to.

Not if you're careful in how you use it. I use a QD or Duragloss Aquawax when I'm drying with the absorber which gives it much less drag, although I try to blot instead of rub.

Ive used it for awhile with no probs..i pre wet it before i start and keep it clean. I have one for the upper portion of the car, lower portion and wheels.
