Using 105/205 for headlamps?

Is this a good idea? Or is it better to polish with a yellow pad with some plastx and then follow it up with orange pad?

Just looking at alternatives to wet sanding and products like diamondite....

Wetsanding is the only way your going to really correct headlights, 105/205 is the way to buff out the sanding marks.

PlastiX works by its self but the headlights arent crystal clear afterwards

I usually do a few passes over the headlights when Im doing paint corrections for customers, even if it doesnt clear them up correctly it will remove the swirls and marring just like paint.

This is a headlight I passed over for about 30 seconds with Poorboy's SSR2.5 and a yellow LC pad on a PCXP. Not 100% correction, but a nice little bonus for someone who is just paying for paint.

I ordered the diamondite kit for a buddy. The headlamps on his car are not too bad but they are hazy. So I guess it won't work well, will it?

i tried 105 just the other day and i didnt like it at all on head lights. i think i'll stick to SIP and my orange pad. the 105 left too many small scratches, SIP has left them perfect after just 2 passes.

Just for ***** I used Ultimate Compund on my friend's yellowed Jetta head lamps sitting in the driveway while I was polishing my truck, and it came out amazing. Threre's not much to it, IMO and IME

M105 with a 4" orange pad on a r/o works wonders for me on head/tail lights. Follow w/ 205 on a 4" white or black if needed.

Did you follow up with 205? That would probably get you all the way there, or you could finish up with Megs PlastX.
