Used Pad Storage

this place seems to have the same pads as CMA but a bit cheaper

I have no affiliation.

Can someone tell me if the are of the same stuff?

I am pretty sure the pads Top of the Line sells are the same as CMA's. There backing plate is cheaper also. I have ordered from TOL before, very good company. :up

I believe it was Likecars who told me that he got some pads from TOL and was not happy with the quality as they fell apart quickly. He then got pads from Rightlook.com, a local retailer from which I also purchased my only PC pads.



I've seen the Lake Country (the ones CMA sells) locally and they appeared to be high quality. Maybe LC just got duds if they are the same.

I know the pads TOL sells for rotary buffers are made by Lake Country. Wonder who makes their PC pads.

I put little air slits in a zippered storage bag and label it with product used on the dedicated pad. I then just put them all in a drawer. Don't know what else I could do better. Please share your method to store your used pads. Thank you.

Mine go in a plastic bin with drawers. They arent labeled because I remember what they have been used for , most of the time anyway.:biggrin:

I let mine dry face down on a wire rack and store them in a big plastic bin. The only pad I dedicate to a certain product is my gold BFWD pad, and it has it's own bag.

You just need to make sure they are completely dry before you put them away. I had some sit in a bin that were still a bit damp and they got moldy.

I store in plastic drawers with other detailing towels. I keep in labeled plastic bags but do not seal and have not had any mold problems. I try to ensure dry before i store. My 0.02$
