I bought a random orbital from Griot's garage, one of their machine polishes, a 1 step sealant, and various other products. I have been really happy with my results. This is my first machine and after a couple years of working with their stuff I have gotten much better at detalining, along with my routine and techniques.
I know that there are people who really like their products, and people who don't. I believe that their "detail supplies" or liquid products are really good products, especially over certain products you get from local auto parts stores. Some people just don't like paying that much, which is understandable. I have been really happy with a number of their products I have tried: car wash, wheel cleaner, undercarriage spray, 1 step sealant, best of show wax, machine polish 3 (mild polish), rubber cleaner, pads, and their orbital. Things that I think are just okay: vinyl and rubber dressing, interior cleaner, window cleaner, leather care.
My question for all of you who have tried some of these or have products you really like; what manufacturers, or products can I look into that will match and exceed the performance of Griot's? It would be great to find products that don't cause any conflict if I do use a Griot's product then follow somebody else's product. Also, what microfiber towels does everybody use for polish removal and wax removal, and where to buy? Thanks for the help, I'm really looking to expand my product arsenal here soon.
