Use SSR 2.5 with cutting pad?

Hello,

I have the following products and plan on detailing my 2000 black 540i.

SSR 2.5
SSR 1
EX
nattys

I have the Sonus pads and was wondering if I should use the 2.5 with the orange pad (cutting) or with the green pad? (polishing).

The finish has some swirling, but not to bad. BMW clear is very hard, much like Audi so im thinking the following:

SSR 2.5 with orange
SSR 1 with green
EX with blue?
Nattys by hand

if you use the cutting pad with the SSR2.5, there is a good chance you will need to repeat SSR2.5 with a polishing pad, before moving to SSR1. Now if the SSR2.5 with a polish pad then leaves a really good finish, i would go to SSR1 with a finishing pad, if not go with the polishing pad. This is why it is essential to have a good selection of pads as you may need to vary pads with the same product. Also remember to use the SSR's at a speed of 5-6 with a PC,after spreading, to break down the abrasives completely. Then either apply the EX with a finishing pad(1-2) or by hand thinly and allow to dry.
