URGENT! Hand polish for these scratches & touchedup paint

So I have to order products today and I need to pick out a polish(es) to help get rid of this scratch. I don't have a PC or anythign so it'll all be by hand. Unless you guys know of a good ROB for cheap (~$50) then I might consider it.



I also had a key mark from a while ago that I used touchup paint to cover up. I wanted to know what products and technique you guys would recommend for helping to cover it up?



So far I thoguht about ordering Meguiar's ScratchX (but I'm not sure if ScratchX will be strong enough.)

I have: Poorboy's Polish w/Carnuba, Natty's Blue, Mothers Reflections.

So please list watever you feel I should use.

This one is from a wire with lots of dirt rubbing against my paint during an install. THis is the main one I"m looking to tackle:

(BTW I'm not trying to take a pic of the small scratch lines, you're actually looking at a big scratch reflecting light)

These are scratches on my pillar and some kinda wierd white chunk, not sure if its a scratch or what but it doesn't wash off and I can feel it:

This is the touched up keyed section that I need your suggestions of techniques & products for covering up:

thanx for the links but do you think those products will beable to eliminate my scratches by hand? Thats the main question. Or do I need like a heavy compound like SSR3. Those products and reviews seemed to be targetting swirls, I need something to deal with these scratches in the pictures, scratches that you can feel.
 
if the scratches are deep enough that it removed paint, or even enough clear coat, you might not be able to remove ALL of the scratches with out a repaint.
 
actually I just went out and felt all the scratches lightly wiht my nail. Good news is I couldn't feel any of them except the one on the rear bumper reflecting light, that was pretty deep since i could scratch against it. The rest just look really bad. If this is the case, should I refer to those threads?



ALso I'm ordering from autogeek with some other stuff and I dont think they carry 1Z, or Autoglym. So as long as the suggestions can be found on autogeek I'll order it. Autogeek carries, Clearkote, Poorboy's, 3M, pinnacle, and others.



My question is, after reading those threads, would Red Moose Glaze or ScratchX(the only ones from those reviews that autogeek carries) or SSR2 be enough for my scratches? Or would I need like SSR2.5 or SSR3/3m Rubbing compound or something else? And do I need anything else after using any of these products? (I have PB Polish)
 
Still looking for responses to my other question. Would these products be enough for my scratches (doesn't catch finger nail)?



But I've narrowed it down to:

First try: ScratchX

Second try: SSR2 or Red Moose Glaze (which do you recommend for my scratches) or maybe 3M Swirl Mark Remover



PS- I was planning on applying these with just regular MF detailing towels, do I need special pads too? IF so, what kind for hand novice use?
 
OK I'm a little confused after reading that review of hand swirl removers.



ScratchX which I thought is supposed to be meant for removing scratches actually performed a little worse or close to Red Moose Glaze. RMG actually left a nice glossy finish too, but according to Scott RMG doesn't have any cutting ability and wont remove defects. Im confused!



So should I just forget scratchX and stick with RMG as a replacement, or are they really in 2 different categories?



To me it doesn't matter what category, whichever one will help hide/get rid of those scratches till I get a PC will be best for me.



My thoughts are:

1) Wash

2) SSR2

wait 24 hours

3) Wash

4) RMG or ScratchX

wait 24 hours

5) Wash

6) PB's PwC or Natty's Blue



I'm still a noob so please advise/correct my process & products if needed. I just ordered SSR2 and ScratchX but I'm thinking about changing ScratchX to RMG so please help asap.
 
Chronos- I know this isn't what you want to hear :o but I'd make a real effort to find the right stuff for this job...correcting stuff like that by hand is tough enough with the right products and trying to do it with the wrong stuff is a waste of time/effort...and very frustrating.



As Mach30SiR said, glazes like RMG *fill* and you need an abrasive product to actually level the paint.
 
First thing I'd do is get rid of the 'disco shirt'...the reflection from that thing masks all of the blemishes you're trying to photograph!!! :spot

Yea thats why I'm posting on here to find the right products. But I haven't received much feedback for my situation. My thoughts on the right products are either SSR2 for the leveling and either RMG to fill or ScratchX which is intended for scratches. But nobody has commented which would be better to go with yet between scratchX and rmg. I'm guessing you guys are saying to get 2 abrasive polishes scratchX and SSR2?



And I"m wearing a plain dark gray shirt, the sparkles you see is from my metallic paint...

Holy crap man...that's stuffs got some serious flake then!



And just to help you out check here...it's a list of products from most aggressive to least but you'd still get much better results with a PC. But good luck...



Product Aggressiveness
 
Actually removing these marks by hand will be very difficult, but this is what I would recommend. Menzerna Intensive Polish, applied using a Sonus German applicator (red yello and black one) - work on small areas at a time, and really work this into the paint with medium pressure. This is as aggressive a combo as I would ever use by hand, and it does work well (although not as well as by machine). It may take a few repeat hits of this, but you will hopefully be able to reduce the marks at the very least.



For remaining marks, by hand, your best option will be to fill them to mask them with a product like Clearkote Red Moose Machine Glaze mentioned above, or Autoglym Super Resin Polish. :)
 
if your only going to use what you have i'd do SSR2 then scratchX followed by RMG. but again nothing is going to make them disappear totally by hand at least.

k thanx for all the help. I couldn't order Menzerna but I picked up SSR2 which is supposed to have similar cutting abilities, the german applicator, and RMG. I'll post results soon.
