UPS has been busy coming to my house!

So, just got orders in today from Autogeek and Autopia. Got some Meg #105 and #205 in, some ragtopp product DP tire gel to try as well as PB BnB, Some XMT glaze with carnuba, and the list goes on. I also ordered a Durmaid 1600 water extracter yesterday and hope to see that in a week or so. The wife is starting to get a little scared seeing the invoices come in and no cars being worked on yet, but she says that she knows 6-7 people who want details done thats not including the ones i know as well, so why she is worrying i dont know.

I think the big things we have left is installing some lights and having a yard sale to make room and i can try all the new product. I even have some pinnacle souveran coming, got some natty's blue, and different automagic products that i will be trying out.

If anyone has some detailing favorites, both for cost and for qaulity, let me know because some of these products are new to me since ive mainly worked in a body shop and you have to watch what products you use.

M105 and M205 are excellent polishing products.
The KBM is a bit of a learning curve with a DA.
What polisher do you have?

I have a DeWalt polisher, and a PC 7424xp. The PC is new and i havent really used one before now. I have worked at a body shop for several years as a detailer, but we dont take on many full details. Ive mainly focused on sanding and buffing freshly painted cars, and then we clean them up, so some of the intricacies of detailing im still learning.

Oh, and no i didnt do painting, just priming and prepping as well as some basic body work. Im also a back up tow truck driver, so i do a little of everthing, but detailing has been my main thing.

I have a DeWalt polisher, and a PC 7424xp. The PC is new and i havent really used one before now...so some of the intricacies of detailing im still learning.

I have been able to do wonderful corrections and finishing with the Porter Cable 7424xp.
I have used the Kevin Brown Method with M105/M205 and have obtained excellent results.

My only complaint is that M105 is a bit difficult to work with. M205 is fine & stays wet.
M105 dries too fast causing a short working time and needs H2O misting to stay wet.
M105 splatters. Be sure and cover your windshield with a towel and tape off all trim.

M105/Orange LC 5.5" flat pad
M205/White LC 5.5" flat pad.
Menz 106/black LC 5.5" flat pad

My new go-to for DA paint correction is the Megs DA Microfiber cutting discs and DA MF compound D300.
D300 is a little less aggressive than M105 (that's not a bad thing) Always use the least aggressive method first!

What I like about the Megs DA MF system is no splatter, no taping, no misting, longer work time and very easy cleanup.

Did I mention DA MF is fast, clean and easy!
