UPPS - I'm impressed......

With the standard DC discount applied to your order it comes out to $8.43 per 16oz bottle when purchased by the gallon which I believe is reasonable for a product of this caliber.

Dwayne

I agree. Thanks Dwayne. You'll be seeing my order soon.

Psst! Don't use the regular detailcity discount code, use the naughty discount code!
....................................

That gets it a little closer to my 50-bucks!

.

Hey Guys....

The remarkable DWAYNE already has the gallon size posted on Premium Auto Care

It's $74.99 minus the 10% Detail City discount. (better yet...don't forget the naughty code!)

2 gallons for $120... minus the 10% DC discount, gets it down to $54 per gallon!

That sounds like a lot of money, but works out to only $6.75 per 16oz bottle. That's cheaper than most Consumer brand QD's.

Just placed my order for gallon size UPPS!

Bill:

-Are you planning on doing any side by side test with OCW?
-Are you planning on doing an IPA wipedown and having UPPS exist as a stand alone LSP?

$54 per gallon for UPPS AFTER discounts vs. $29.95 per gallon for OCW (source: www.topoftheline.com). I highly doubt its worth the 72%+ price increase.

No.

No. I'm not intending it for that purpose. I'll use it as a topper.

$ 75 MSRP: You gotta be kidding me. It is overpriced and i cant believe people would still purchase something that expensive. the funny part is that it probably wont offer the same Protection as the regular UPP INCREDIBLE!

Depends on what you want, you can buy a Big Mac at McDonlads or stop into Cafe L'Europe on St. Armands (shirt and tie required) for the finest fillet mignon and seafood that money can buy. A month ago 8 16 ounce bottles of Z-8 cost me $159.60 and all I got was a free applicator. At least Dwayne is willing to set Detail City members up solid with the UPPS.

How is it funny that UPP and UPPS are to completly different products? UPPS out to make waxing a car quicker for the same looks, if not better with the heat activation as it seems. I'd be curious to see the differences of one layer compared to multiple layers. And as for the price, I really don't think it is overpriced or inflated at all. Dwayne said this is from all of the best materials and I'm sure it wasn't easy to make this formula to work so great. So the price can be justified if the product is really worth it.

$75 for a gallon is a lot of money, but $14.95 for 16 oz. is pretty close to the going price for a good sealant or wax. Quite a lot less than many.

this is Obviously not the case with the products the enthusiasts in this forum buy. If you were to use the example you just wrote it would be like comparing a low name brand like "Turtle Wax" vs 4* Star and setting your standard in that level. Also when you buy some thing by bulk or gallons it must cheaper. Therfore the 8" Z8 bottle for 160 is irrelevant becasue not everyone will buy 8 16oz bottle

of course Dwayne and others will tell you that it is made from the best stuff on earth :shifty:(Snapple) :naughtyD Every brand from pinnacle to Mothers PB's etc.. :box: will say the same. let us not be Naive. :detective

This fine sealant is worth the price of a gallon, to me, for the simple fact that it's so easy to apply and it gives such awesome results.

Applies like a QD and gives results like an all-day detail project..... anything that saves me time and labor is worthwhile.....

I'll gladly pay $54 a gallon for that!!!

Longevity? Who cares... I plan on using the UPPS at least once or twice a month, possibly more.

For the guys who aren't interested in the gallon sizes, PAC has 2 16oz bottles of UPPS for $22. That's cheaper than 2 16oz bottles of OCW even at the sale price of $12.95. Got mine 2 days ago; now to wash off the salt, and toss on a coat or 2. :punk:

would you guy's not suggest to use upps over a carnuba lsp,or can you.
You should treat it just like UPP. You can top it with a carnauba (I prefer to just layer UPP instead), but vice versa will cause bonding issues.

I did the same thing. Bought 2 UPPS 16oz for $22. I liked it so much, I purchased the gallon the next day.
