UPP vs. Klasse SG durability

I have been using SG for a while and i love the durability. 2-3 coats and my car still beads like crazy after 6-8 months. Will UPP be as durable and can it be layered like SG. Also, is it less temperamental and easier to remove, and should it be applied using the WOWO method?

From my experience, UPP is MUCH less durable than SG, and UPP is MUCH easier to use.

WOWO will not work with UPP.

Well then can it be applied with the pc? Also, does it provide more or less depth than SG? :nixweiss

Yeah, you can put it on with the PC (though I get it thinner by hand) and you can also buff it off with MF bonnets. I guess it's easier to use than KSG but I always find KSG really easy too.

Let it set up before you buff it off, the longer the better. Don't let it mix with any water (blow water out of seams, etc.) or it'll leave weird spots that are hard to get off. UPP and water don't play well together.

SG just *kills* UPP when it comes to durability (I use UPP on the S8 and KSG on the MPV). UPP sorta layers, but it's hard to say how well. I'd guess that it's not the same kind of "layering" you get with KSG and Zaino. I put more UPP on whenever the S8 seems to have lost some slickness.

IMO the UPP adds *a lot* of depth compared to SG and looks a lot better. More "carnauba like", and "richer". But that's just my opinion and I'm not a big fan of how KSG looks. So my "good" car gets UPP and the minivan gets KSG- different LSPs for different applications.

This is my opinion.

For looks I would definitely go with UPP. To me it looks almost the best out of all products I have used. UPP is easy to use goes on easily and wipes off very easily. I get about 3 months on 3 apps of UPP. Nothing compared to SG as far as durability. UPP is also the slickest stuff I have felt on a vehicle. Its a great product.

well, is there any other sealant that compares with SG in terms of durability? Basically, i'm searching for something that is as easy to apply and lasts as long as SG but leaves the car looking a bit wetter and with less chance of streaking.

IMO UPP won't be as durable but easier to apply and remove and will leave the surface a lot slicker.

I have found that on my particular finish (SPA yellow s2000) the UPP tended to "lighten" my finish similar to what WG and Poorboys did.

In the end, my finish looked like an "in between" Klasse's deep wet look and WG's "salad oil look"

I can't stand removing Klasse , so I've re-deployed it. I solely use Zaino's Z2 pro with z8 nowadays. Why ? It appears to make "every finish, dark, light " deep and wet looking.

I use UPP and Klasse on my wheels instead.

However, if you do want to try it, I have seen it on dark colours and would be more inclined to recommend for those on a grey/black pad set to 2000rpm

If you like, you can pay for the shipping, and I'd be willing to ship you my "almost full bottle" as if i ever use UPP again, it will be for the wheels only.
