UPP question?

I have never used UPP before and it will be here on tuesday (thanks PAC), what do you guys find to be a better base AIO, PwC, or VM?

This is one of those detailing questions that you aren't going to find an easy answer to.
Of course I'm going to vote for AIO.

You are going to find that there are many people using many products with good results. UPC, VM, AIO, SSR1, PwC, MPPP, to name a few.
Who's to say which is truly best or even better? Not me. :)

AIO is too perfect of a base for any product. It not only provides an oil free base, but it also cleans the paint and offers that acrylic protection. Its nothing compared to the protection of UPP, but I guess every little bit helps. There are a lot of choices for a base for your products. You can't go wrong with AIO, but I'm sure there are other options too. The way I see it, if it is an oil free product that cleans and protects in one step, then why not use it as a base?

AIO is one a great product. I use it on many colors as a base, however on some colors it seems to actually tone down the brightness of the polished surface. This is especially evident on white that has been polished with SSR 1. This would be the only time I can see not using it as a base.
Of course, this is my own opinion based on the look I like to see.

I love AIO too. Just today I was going to use AIO but at the last minute decided to try SSR1 instead. It was my first time using SSR1. It was easy to use and after polishing, I was impressed with the finish it left. I applied UPP right after the SSR1. The combination really made the silver pop and I still can't believe the slickness UPP provides. :bigups

Anyway, of those three choices, I'd go with AIO. But then again, I haven't used the other two. :dunno

I have recently used UPP with AIO as a base on two cars: a darker forest green metallic and a pewter metallic.....with excellent results. Nice wet and shiny look, with good depth.

I like SSR1 too, but haven't used UPP over it yet. I've used Zaino over SSR1 with very good results, but the UPP seems to be deeper (don't know how much is the UPP vs the SSR1 and AIO).

I just used it on my truck for winter prep. AIO/UPPx2/Collinite 476x4 and 476 x2 yesterday. What I like about AIO is you can litterally use it on everything. I took the PC and went over the trim/windows/chrome while I was doing the paint.

I used VM for my base today and it is very wet and dark. Also very, very slick. Waiting to add another coat tomarrow.
