UPP & PP, great product, terrible containers.

I just finished the hood (only) on my wifes red Grand AM, More than 5 yrs of neglect. I used my pc and UPP, lots of scratches and swirls. It took me over two hours and at least 4 applications on some spots to reduce or remove most of the damage. Used pp as a follow up, although I must admit it looked pretty good after UPP. It's slow but it does work, patience is everything. Applied EO Nano-wax as an LSP. Looks as good as it can considering the chips and all. Raining and dark when I finished, garage lighting not very good. Will take some pictures of the finished hood when it clears. My only problem was getting the polish out of the tins, what a mess and waste. Can I ask what you all do about that?:)

I havent tried the UPP but what I have done is shack the heck out of the terrible tin's, and transfer a quantity to a spray bottle. Just make sure its VERY well mixed before the transfer.

Note: Ive only done this with the 1Z MP, PP and Glanz Wax.

I bought some squeeze bottles made by AutoMagic found here: Sparkle Auto. They are called polish dispensers (bottle and top) and work fine. If you can find them, hair dye dispensers work just as well but don't hold up as well.

Yeah, lots of people transfer the 1Z stuff to smaller, more convenient containers. As I recall, some vendors even include the small plastic bottles with some 1Z orders.

Heh heh, I must be the only person who doesn't mind using the tins; I just pour a little polish onto my pads :nixweiss Reminds me of the old days, with products like Dupont #7 in tins.
