UPP interesting water beading?

With UPP on my car, it rained today D:
anyway i noticed that in some places the water beaded funny. like on the roof of the car, in the middle there were some big beads of water, and then the rest of the roof was covered in normal smaller beads.

i also noticed this on the top part of the hood..
is this because i did not apply enough UPP on these areas? or is it just the way the water formed because of the physical structure of the hood/roof? any ideas? heh, thanks : )
 
A quick self-test would be to add another layer of UPP to the concerned areas and note the beading characteristics after the next rain.

My hood and roof had beeds that were larger..1/3 inch.
Rest of my car had smaller ones.."gravity"??? don;t know

Well, it's rained every day here for the last 3 weeks, so I have no idea how mine's really beading! :mad: :mad:
 
yea i think i'm gonna add another layer today : )
i also think it's just gravity/physics of the water and car structure.. ?

Unless you're washing with extremely "hard" water, or you're using way to much car wash, the UPP should bead nicely and last quite a while.
