Thanks Bill.I think I'm going to try the sg again tomorrow. Also is there a sealant that can be used as a last step besides NXT.It seems to be alot of work to preclean just to add a sealant.

The only other sealant I know of that can be used as is, is liquid glass. If I am not mistaken that has cleaners in it which don't require any additional products.

Agreed - Klasse is also a great product that I have not had any application problems with at all. I've used Bill's method and it works great. If you already have Klasse on your shelf use it!

Zaino is another product I have had on my 996 and the product is great. Great look and very durable.

Check out my gallery if you want to see some pics with UPP and some with Zaino on my 996.

Good to see a couple of 996 fellows:D

Klasse all the way !

Use a QD right after the initial application of SG,specialy on those difficult spots.

what is a 996?

Sorry,my bad:o ...I thought, that "911" part of your name, was the reference to a Porsche 996...

996 is a manufacturer code of a Porsche car generally known as Porsche 911.

I use VM followed by EX-P. Poorboys recommends their polish but I have had no problems with VM.

I've just learned the WG pre-sealant isn't an absolute requirement. I plan on using IP and/or FP to prep the surface for the WG sealant tomorrow. Also, the "oil" thing is still a concern of mine so I'm not sure I'm ready to try a Hand Polish or #7 under WG just yet.....more research later.
