Upholstery cleaning spots... gah.

I just began working on my 2006 Saturn ION. The seat had a very faint ring which I assumed was from something spilled on it or a cheap cleaning agent being used previously.

So, as I normally do, I busted out the Folex without even thinking that it would leave a ring....it did. Is there ANY solution or tips to getting something like this out? Maybe i'm missing something. :(

Should I shampoo the whole seat and make it a uniform color?

Ion seats are bad for water spots. I find that you can not spot clean them. If you do and area you have to do the whole panel. If you get water or cleaner on the panel beside it they clean that one too.
