I recently bought a porter cable set from Tropi-care for my 99 Z28, which has some swirling and light scratches.
I tried 3 passes on a section of the hood and noticed no noticeable difference, so I only did one pass on the rest of the car.
I did notice the polish seems to work much better on the black sections than on the pewter body. No progress on much of the pewter.
What products should I use to remove the defects? Yellow pad and a medium cut polish?
Would a pass of tc-8 with a orange pad be sufficient to remove any marring caused by the yellow pad? Any other recommendations?
I was forced to work outside in the sun as I have no garage.
Steps used:
Wash with Dawm
Claybar with Meg's Clay
Wash with TC-2
Polish with TC-8 at 5 with Orange Pad
Meg's Step 2 filler polish by Hand
Meg's #7 Glaze with another Orange Pad
Tc-3xp Sealent with Blue Pad.
Wait 1 hr, added another coat
