Undercarriage Spray

I use CG's Bare Bones, and have it scattered all over my concrete driveway. When it rains, it's beads VERY WELL and for over a year. Any idea how to clean it off. I'm tempted on coating the whole thing with Bare Bones for a uniform look.

Heh heh...that uniform look might make for a mighty slippery driveway!

The only time I got the Griot's UCS on bare concrete, I used a *strong* concrete cleaner to get it off. This was forever ago (1990s) and I can't remember what it was...probably something acidic. These days I only use the Undercarriage Spray in the garage with an epoxy/stone floor covering, and undiluted APC cleans it up if I have an "oops!" (better than on bare concrete).

I would prefer some sort of paint rather than dressing. All the products mentioned won't do anything to prevent rust really and will wear away in a very short time..Get it thoroughly clean and free from rust, then apply some sort of undercarriage paint that protects from stone chips, salt, water and corrosion..

Only way to go IMHO..

On drivers, yeah. I'm a *HUGE* fan of Eastwoods Rust Encapsulator for undercarriages, works *SUPER* for me, even when I don't topcoat it.

But on cars that are "check out my undercarriage, Mr. Concours Judge"-nice, the dressings have their uses and sometimes beat using a conventional-LSP type approach (heh heh, I've used *Souveran* on undercarriages before :o ). The dressings make the undercarriage paint (and even undercoating) look better too :D

Seeing as I work like 5 minutes from Ardex Labs I'm going to stop by there and see I can pick up some of the speedy VOC. The CG product actually worked to my liking. (I still have some left) But It just seemed a bit on the expensive side for what it is..

On second thought, I think I'm going to order some of that "Blackwell" from Huey Chemicals. Only $9.19 a gal!

Please review the product for us after you use it. If it does the job well, then it's a real bargain.

Will do. I'm all for cheap products that exceed my expectations. Lets hope this is yet another one. (Grout sponges and ONR come to mind.)

Is that your vehicle in your avatar? I love that car..

I'm not sure if you've seen it yet, but go on youtube and search "inline pro s2k wheel stand". (I'm at work - can't post the link.)

One of the best videos I've seen. (And funny to boot.)
