I'm sorry but I have to rant about this... I'm sure some feathers will be ruffles but... This is shocking! Absolutely shocking! I don't think age has anything to do with not knowing certain simple facts, do any of you read newspapers? Listen to the real news and not MTV news? I actually know someone who doesn't know where Canada is!



How the hell does anyone NOT know:

that Lew Alcindor is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Debbie Harry = Blondie

that Cassius Clay is Mohammed Ali

Wolfman Jack! Wolfman Jack for God's sake!

Julius Erving! How can anyone not know... oh I give up...



Being on a car forum and NOT knowing who Richard Petty or Davey Allison are should be grounds for immediate banishment and possibly even execution!



But the ultimate is this... is it really possible that there are people on this planet within sight of a TV that DON'T KNOW WHO ARTHUR FONZARELLI IS?? Is that possible? I mean really, I can understand not knowing some minor movie character like Marty McFly or some obscure TV character like J.R. Ewing (obviously being facetious here) but how in hell can't you know who Fonzie is? :shocked

DFTowel, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I don't understand how you can knock on someone who was born post-1985 (who's first memories start in the 90's and who, in my case - I was 8 when he left - barely remember Clinton). Wolfman Jack? I'm sorry that we don't know the name of some radio host who's career peaked in the 60s-70s. Oh and even after googling and looking at a few album lists I still don't know who Blondie is.

Man, you seriously need some anger management. Lew Alcinder, Debbie Harry, Cassius Clay, and just about everyone else on the list aren't on the news anymore and haven't been for a good 10 years. Happy Days stopped airing BEFORE WE WERE EVEN BORN. Regarding Richard Petty and Davey Allison--not everybody loves NASCAR (I hate it), and few of us watched these guys back in the day when we were probably 8 years old. The only ways for those of us under 21 to know most of these people are through VH1's I Love The 70s/80s and if we're big sports fans.



I read quite a bit and all I see are CURRENT icons, cheif. Newspapers are comprised of things happeneing NOW. Not 20 years ago.

I just watched that video on youtube. Yeah I know the song; it was in one of the GTA's lol. I had heard it before GTA though :)
