"Forget Windex. Here's a cheap and easy recipe for a great glass cleaner:



One Gallon of Purified Water (Mineral Free)

One Pint of 70% Isopropyl Alcohol

1/2 cup of sudsy ammonia

One teaspoon of liquid dish soap

An empty, clean gallon jug



Take the empty jug and pour in the alcohol, ammonia and dish soap.

Fill the rest with the water.

Fill up your favorite spray bottle and you're in business!"
 
I thought you weren't supposed to use ammonia on window tint films? I'm sure it works well on the outside glass though....
 
I believe Ammonia is supposed to be bad for seals too. I'm using a simple glass cleaner by Melaleuca which contains vinegar. You simply add the concentrate to distilled water in a 32 ounce bottle and you're good to go. Very effective cleaner. So far, its the best I've tried.



Unfortunately hard to buy unless you become a Melaleuca distributor or know one to buy from. It is cheap though, like $3 for a concentrate that can make two 32 ounce bottles.



Maybe try substituting ammonia with vinegar? I've used vinegar mixed with water in the past to do house windows with good results
 
for years I have had trouble getting windows clean.. wash with Windex( or any other product) they look great till ya drive into the sun. Then a while back after I Windexed my patio door window in the house I let it dry and ran a MF towel dry over it .. all the film/streaks were gone. Now all I use after that initial Windex to get off major crud is a damp paper towel to wipe the window down then DRY it with a MF. I have started this on my cars ( I have tint) last spring... no streaking .. no film .. how is that for environmental friendly. Since spring I have not used any liquid cleaner just water and the MF.
 
I gave up on Windex even for use around the house. I never was fully satisfied with Invisible Glass either. For most fast clean ups a damp MF works goodfor me too but sometimes if glass is a bit too dirty the Melaleuca Clear Power is pretty good. Want to try that Bon Ami glass cleaner as well.
 
I agree with Jesstzn on this one.



Regardless of what product you use, buffing with a dry MF after the windows are dry is the key to streak-free windows.



I use a Microfiber and plain water, then use a dry MF to buff off the streaks.
 
Here's a shocker. I use no glass cleaner! Just a damp MF on the inside - wipes streak and film free. The outside has AIO on them so the car wash soap when washing does fine.



My windows are sparkling.



Same goes with wheel cleaner. I use none. Keep a quality wax (Collinite) or sealant (AIO, #20 or Zaino) on them and just wash with car wash soap.



Saves time and money.

Plexus on tint is really nice. It sort of shines/buff's the tint and it looks different. Plexus claims that it is a polish/protectant and I couldn't be happier.
 
Hmmm...sometimes ( rarely) a wet and then a dry MF doesn't do the trick for me so I use my glass cleaner of choice and then everything shines again.
