Unbelievable

A MoPar is now No Car. ;) Sounds like some of the Chrysler execs are looking to run for public office. With decision making like this, they'll no doubt be successful. Why in the world would't they sell them?

We had a story here locally where some kids (about 40) got behind in their school lunch funds. The school gave them their lunches and then waited until they got to the end of the lunch line to tell the kids they were behind in their lunch money. They then proceeded to hand the kids an apple and some milk and throw the lunches that were just made in the garbage. It's thinking like this that makes me think our society is really teetering. Can't people think for themselves?

It's the same kind of thinking here, the execs are following some lawyers advice on these cars.

That makes me sick, why the hell wouldn't they just make up a liability waver. If people can do it for skydiving, why not a car. Especially if collectors are offering to save them!

But the article said that 2 of the Vipers were involved in accidents and Chrysler was sued for millions of dollars...

Now, tell me again, why would you sue the car maker for an accident when you were driving a car that Chrysler specifically had said could not be driven on a public road because it had not been certified ? ? ?

Perhaps its more a case of stupid, selfish, self-absorbed, etc., people breaking laws, then getting hurt, and then trying to make money from their bad decision-making in the first place....

This will Never be ok in my mind.....

All of these cars are to be sent to execution because of the stupidity of a couple of people. Fiat-Chrysler own them so they can do what they want. Tough luck. They should have had a contract to release them of all liability in the first place.

I feel they can tell them whatever they want .... it is after all their (Dodge) vehicles.

Not for nothing just because a collector will pay $250 grand for it does not mean a thing to Dodge. They did not pay anywhere near that to have them built, so no loss on their part, and they are just covering up potential further lawsuits.

While I also agree that the easy answer is to make some sort of liability waiver, like suggested. But we all know that lawyers today and not having responsibility due to a little piece of paper will not fly at all, there is just no such thing as "no responsibility" and the potential is great for them to be on the road. Just think of all the times they have gone out and did not get into a crash. Those instances just ended badly, I'm sure there was many other joyrides that ended on a positive note.

So crushing them seems the only option ...... am I wrong?

Edit: Thank you for changing it to Dodge think I had GM haha

That is the crazest crap I've ever seen. If you read in the update. It says that Chysler doesn't know of any law suits from donated cars. It is just bull.
