Yeah, I know, I KNOW! :o

I'm wondering if anyone can comment how strong the Turtle Wax LIQUID Rubbing Compound is? I've searched around, and it seems to be well-established that the paste version (red jar) is the devil incarnate, but the liquid version is rarely mentioned. Reading the back of the bottle, it doesn't sound as aggressive as the paste, and was just wondering if this stuff would make for a usable medium or heavy cut polish for the rare occasions when I might need such a product. Its low cost is another draw....

Okay, I'm ready to get :sign

hmm... i've used that on some dulled out taillights and they came out pretty clear and shiny followed up with some SMR. i wouldn't want to try it on paint though.

Maybe it's not so harsh after all? I think taillight lenses are softer than paint.

The fountain of knowledge that is TW tech support seems to imply that this stuff is actually safer than the white polishing compound in the green jar. They said that it's safe to use on clear coats while the red and green jar stuff might cause damage if rubbed too hard. Not quite sure what to read into that though since I think that's true of most products....

It says "Professional" so it must be good!:lol

I guess anything is worth a try so let us know how it works out for you.

dude I would just save up a few coins and get something proven. Could save you time without risking new paint.
I know I should, but I just don't want to spend much on (another) product I probably won't pick up often. I don't think there'd be much risk involved in using it unless the stuff is either like some crazy fiberglass abrasive ( ) or actually isn't strong enough....

I figured somebody here must have tried this stuff in their pre-Autopia days? :nixweiss Come on, be brave and admit it! :D

I just used it on the bumper of my CL about an hour ago.......its not harsh at all and it gets rid of a lot of road crap.....tar......bugs....ect.........
