Ultra Fine Claybar

Take this advice.
BTW the Mothers clay is not aggressive but it is very sticky.
Careful of your method, too. I think that using dedicated lube, lots of it, is a mild method, whereas using ONR sparingly is more aggressive. Pressure is of course a big factor too.

Just a real quick check-in on this, I`ve been getting by with the Pinnacle light blue clay, using a good quantity of strong ONR/distilled lube, and light pressure.

I`ve been buying my clay from a local detail supply house. I try to give them a little business, since I`ve giving the PBMA stores the majority of my detail supply $$ the past few years. They have Clay Magic, which is color coded for the level of aggressiveness. Blue is the mild, Green is medium and Red is the most aggressive.

EVERYBODY seems happy with the Clay Magic Blue, though I wonder (never having tried it...) whether it`s mild enough to "clay the LSP clean" without stripping it.

I actually won`t clay unless I do at least a light polish. For coated cars, especially OCP+, I would suggest doing a chemical decon with products like IronX and tarminator before I`d ever consider touching it with clay. As far as mild clay goes I always liked the OTC Megs stuff, Blackfire, and the Pinnacle Ultra Poly clay.

I have some Clay Magic Blue (bought in Nov 2014). I like it for it`s cost factor. I don`t think it was as mild as the Smartwax (blue) that I bought back in 2008. If that helps any.

But, I`ve never tried to clay a car that had LSP on it.

Just to note, back then, Smartwax had like four grades of wax. I think their yellow was their mild, but I`d have to run to the storage unit to confirm.

That`s about all I do with clay. If something`s gonna get redone in a big way I`ll decontaminate chemically instead.

The yellow SmartWax clay, if it`s what I think it is/what I have, isn`t *nearly* as mild as the Sonus SFX. Good stuff though.

When I went to check out from eNgine`s site, shipping outside of Canada was not even an option. Do you have to call to order from the US?

Maybe their shipping policy changed, it probably wouldn`t hurt to pick up the phone and call them. I never ordered from them directly, I have a work colleague who visits The Homeland during the holidays, and he brought it back for me.

When Clay Magic still held the patent rights in the US, Canadian distributors like eShine were not allowed to ship Riccardo to the States. If you added it to your cart, you would get this message ....

USA Customers: Due to Patent laws in the USA this product can not be shipped to the USA. If you purchase this product the order will be cancelled and refunded automatically. If you have a Canadian address and the intent is not to redistribute back into the USA the product CAN be shipped and used at your Canadian address.

If you can`t find it anywhere and you really want to try the Riccardo Yellow, PM me and I`ll send you one of my Riccardo Yellow clay bars.
