Hey everyone i have been using Ultimate Quik Detailer on my car and im just not happy with it really. It seems that when i mist the UQD on the car it drys to fast in spots that take an extra misting to wipe. It ALWAYS sprays in spots that you have to mist again. So I spray it onto the microfiber first but im still not impressed with the looks. I have only been using over the counter QD's and i find that the quick detailer in the maroon bottle by megs is a tad better and i still feel that mothers califorina gold showtime is the better of the 3. has anyone elese had any issues with this product or is there any thing i could do different.

Thanks.

That odd, I used it and didn't have any problems like that. Sprayed, wiped off, that was it.

Didn't seem to matter if I used a little or a lot it wouldn't streak.

Didn't have the best look and I didn't experience the super slick finish other reported, in fact I thought it left a grabby finish.

IMHO it has the best spray bottle you can get. always a super fine mist. I don't think I will buy it again but I will refill the sprayer with FK425.

'That's odd.

Actually it's one of my favorite products, easy to spray and easy to wipe off..I have a Cadillac CTS (white diamond) and the result looks like as if it was just waxed…

I live in a VERY hot country and it doesn't dry on me while using it…I think your doing a large area at a time you should do a small area (half door size at time)…

I like this product but I don’t think I'll be able to buy it since the only way I can put my hand on it is buying it online and the shipping cost is high …

I also have been unimpressed with this...I guess I have tried it 3 times. The first time was really horrible, but afterwards I noticed that the fine print said to shake before using...so the second time it was better but it's still not crazy slick or crazy beading like the hype. It seems very similar to AquaWax, but not as good.

I'm not sure what could be causing the issues you are having either, other than the surface possibly being too warm/hot when you spray it on? There is some measure of slickness to it, but not as much as say, QS.

It's a good product, but I probably won't be getting it again either as I have enough QD to last me some time and I just wanted to try it. I too will be refilling that spray bottle as well for it's misting ability. :)

I love the product. The amount of shine, beading, and slickness is amazing.

Makes getting bugs off the front ALOT easier!

Sounds like you need to work a smaller area.

Hi White Lexus 23. I've always like the maroon Megs QD the best. It's carnauba based and it's easier to wipe off. Another good one I've tried is FK425. This both QD are the only ones that I like so far. :)

Nxt QD was not good for me. As it tend to streaks for me. And TWPUG QD also streak and I dislike the strong smell it has. I've got Polyglaze QD. It also streak and the perfume kinda of smell turns me off. Black Magic QD also streak for me too. Dislike the strong smell too. :(

I don't like UQD either. It doesn't really do anything as far as looks and I've noticed that after I use it and it rains, streaks appear from the rubber trim around the windows. I don't know what's up with that but it's a real pain to remove.

I have tried it 3-4 times....and really did nothing for me....the effects were very short lived..seemd like you need to do it again after a rain or wash...I did a test with AW on one side and UQD on another side....and the AW beaded much better and water just rolled off...

for the money the AW was a better choice....also the Lucas Slick mist was better....and cheaper.....

I've been disappointed with UQD too. I think aquawax looks a little warmer and is much more slick.

Hm. I've always used it as a base for AW. When the dust 'film' is really thin, I just QD the car with UQD for its cleaning and lubing properties, and then top it with AW.

All the same though, I'm more impressed with DG921 FC&S.

I love UQD but the durability is definitely not there - it's an "after every wash" thing for me, to knock out any stray drips, streaks or waterspots. I like the way it looks on my black car significantly more than AW, but AW gets the nod on metallics or lighter colors.

It's hard to beat Showtime. It's been under everyones noses for a long time but gets little exposure. Not boutique enough.

Very true.. Showtime is excellent. It's not the best at everything, but very well rounded. Cleans well, looks good, applies easily, is smooth afterwards and it's inexpensive.

For those of you who are unimpressed so far.... have you used the entire line of Ultima or just the QD?

I'm just wondering if you have other Ultima products under the QD because sometimes the products work together better than they do alone. Also, some QD's don't react well with certain waxes/sealants.

I personally haven't used any Ultima products but plan to use most of their line on a detail sometime in the next couple weeks.

Its not the Ultima line being talked here..but the Megs Ultimate Quick Detailer....I have tried the Ultima Detailer I got in the sample kit..it is strides above the Meg's UQD....in looks and slickness and lasting....and it lasts when washed or rains on...the UQD is gone after a wash or rain..the effects just slope off....

I like the product. Maybe just my taste. Quickshine is my favorite. It is easy to apply. You can spray your whole car down with this stuff, glass, rims and all.

Ahh... my mistake. Reading is fundamental, eh? ;)

Sorry for the interruption.
