Agreed, I'm just brainstorming the pros/cons.
Gotcha. I just don't want somebody to read that and overlook the fact that it can be rinsed off as often as needed so as to avoid user induced marring.

I heard that only one company in the world is making those blocks, then everyone else is calling them their brand. I got one from the local detail supply store and I absolutely love it. I have used it on at least 5-6 cars already and it shows no sign of wear or marring.
No marring huh? I remember someone here said they had used one and it marred pretty noticeably. If you're gonna polish I guess it's not that big of a deal, but I'd like to keep my marring to a minimum ya know?

Which QD are you using Brandon? I held one that was purchased from ADS, and it seems that it would need a very lubricious QD.
LOL, is that even a word? I do get your point though, just giving you a hard time:)

No marring at all?

Bud Abraham has them for $9.95 at Detail Plus.
nice!! I'll buy it from them and get Ultima's gel lube spray.

An attendee brought the Hi-Tech Body Sponge to a Meguiars Roadshow I attended recently. Several of us tried it out on a black scrap hood we were working on. It did cause some marring but we were getting pretty aggressive with it. If used lightly it might be OK. It was definitely a joy to hold as compared to clay.
