Haven't heard anything about AIO being discontinued..... I'm sure someone would have known by now and chimed in on here if that were the case......
 
So is Carlack and Grojet2000 easier to use than AIO? (In terms of removal).



Andy... I'd come in with you on a group buy for some Grojet2000, just let me know.
 
Thanks jgv - what does a single 1000ml Grojet weigh? Maths was never my strong point!



Can you also PM details of any other products you supply in particular Menzerna's range?

Weighs between 1-2Kg hence the price he has quoted for carriage. I paid just over 8 Euros for Jose to send me over some UPP. More convenient, slightly cheaper carriage and quicker than from the US although the product costs a bit more with the £/$ as it is.

Hi Folks



Just wading through all the useful info' on here and came across the Virisol, aka "MC2" comments - put a wry smile on my face!



I was part of group who arranged to lab test a sample of Virisol and MC2 via several Porsche and the TT forums; identical as you all now know.

MC2 or Virisol is an excellent wheel cleaner which won't harm the lacquer but will remove any wax/sealant from the finish.



I've been using the stuff on a weekly basis for the last 3 years or so with absolutely no problems. Its quite alkali, about ph7 IIRC and much safer than any acidic cleaner.

Use neat, via a trigger spray, leave for 10 mins or so and rinse off, stubborn deposits may require agitating. To maintain the wheels dilute 1:10.



Excellent for other cleaning tasks - carpets, wheel wells and just about any other household application. Give it a go - it's an absolute bargain when bought as "Virisol"!!

I tried Virosol for the first time this weekend. I used it for wheel wells and tyres diluted approx 6 parts water 1 part Virosl in a Hozelock pump spray bottle. It did an excellent job of cleaning all areas, it removed dirt from my tyres which I didnt now was there. A good product at a reasonable price.
 
Ahh, Vindaloo! Yes indeed you're guilty...I followed your recommendations and bought myself the PC machine and lashings of other "potions and lotions"



Impressive piece of kit and an equally impressive price, especially as a kit with the pads. Great people to deal with.



Not 100% sure that I've bought the right products to use with the PC, also sure that I'm not getting the results that I hoped for. That may be down to technique at the moment...a little advice would be nice though.



Klasse all in one - PC compatable? I'm applying with a Sonus Blue pad. Buffing off by hand



Klasse "Gloss top coat" - (or something like that) - hand application / removal only?



I've got Sonus pads, orange, green and blue (hard > soft)



What products (available in the UK) are recommended for use with these pads. Suitable source info' would be nice too!



Some of the cars I have to prepare have very slightly weathered paint, guess I'm going to need something a little more aggresive than the Klasse all in one? (I don't think it has any "cutting" action?)



Also what would be suggested for flatting off "orange peel" paint using the PC?



Product recommends for the orange peel and weathered paint, thro' to the final high gloss finish would be much appreciated.

Im still fairly new to Klasse myself but have seen good results with this products. For AIO I apply one panel at a time using a polishing pad on the PC speed 4 and work the product in the usual north > south, east > west and then remove with a MF cloth. For SG I use a spray bottle and mist the SG onto a MF applicator to one panel at a time and then remove with another MF cloth.



My goto product for swirl removal is Meguiars #83 followed by #82, these are easily availble in the UK. If you would like a sample of either PM me.



Im no expert but I think you might be struggling to remove orange peel with a PC, somebody more experienced may have more information on this though.
 
Yes you can use AIO with the PC as it does help to spread it thinly but it will only clean the paint not remove any swirl marks. I would use the Green pad. I haven't used Klasse SG so I don't know about that one. I am happy with Poorboys EX-P and 4* UPP which you can use with the pads (blue)

To remove swirl marks you need to use the least agressive product that you can get away with. I would recommend Poorboys SSR1 or if that doesn't do the job SSR2.5 followed by SSR1. Use the Orange pad. If you are trying to put right a customer car with lots of swirls you could try this:-



Wash

Clay

SSR2.5 (Orange)

SSR1 (Green)

AIO (Green)

SG or UPP (Blue)

If you like the Carnuba look top with P21S or Nattys



What you can achieve with the PC is amazing if you choose the right products, but remember preparation is nine tenths of the job

From what I've seen already, Grojet2000 is VERY similar to AIO.
