I had to go to a car wash today while down here at school (pollen made my black acura look green.) Well I saw a new touchless car wash so i decided to go give it a try. Never again.:wall :wall There was an attendant there, so i figured maybe they are just adjusting the mixture.......wrong. He starts to clean my wheels (ok not bad, just need the brake dust loosened.) Well I go into the washing bay (touchless drive through,) well next thing you know i see him brushing the front of my car!!! then he cleaned my window and i was like,"Just use the brush on the windows please!" Well after the car was foamed, i noticed the idiot was brushing my car and not my windows! I was fuming after, so i just drove off.

Why do they advertise a touchless, when someone is going to touch my car? UGH!

I got back to campus, and sure enough, swirl city! I just cant wait to get home tonight, because im going to burn the midnight oil and get my car cleaned up again.

I would at least beat the guy in the face.

The place at home does something similar but they have a guy with a pressure washer before you go into the bay. He sprays just the car with just rinse water to get all the big stuff off, works out pretty good but I never go to those anyway.

This is what it looked like before, now it looks like its been rubbed with sand :(

Yeah you have to be careful, some "touchless" places use a bunch of guys with brushes or sheepskins at the mouth of the bay. The brushes are supposed to be for the wheels and the mitts for the paint but every now and then you'll get some lazy guy going straight from your wheels to the paint with the brush:cry: :down

The only thing i do have to say positive was they had 2 different brushes, one for the body, one for the wheels. But still, the brush didnt look like boars hair either, nice and plasticy.

i have to use touchless up here in canada to get the road salt off the car, i have no choice since my garage is not heated so that i can wash it myself, but where i go touchless is touchless, and it also does the undrside of the car, can't wait till spring......
