No!\r\n\r\nEvery country is different regarding regarding electrical and mechanical safety requirements. However, in general all states in the EU follow the same basic requirements regarding safety standards on electrical products for import and resale. The CE and GS marks are the most recognized safety marks in Europe, just as the CSA and UL marks are recognized here in North America. \r\n\r\nThat said, there are no regulations or restrictions for an individual purchasing a product from a foriegn country for personal use. That\'s why so many Porter Cable polishers are being sold into the UK, EU and down under in AU. The Porter Cable polisher has only the UL mark, which is only recognized in America.

Patman said:I got my UDM today from eShine.ca and got the updated switch with it too! Awesome! I just need to know, how do I remove the old switch? Do I just pop it off with a screwdriver? I'm afraid to ruin the UDM by doing it wrong!
m4gician said:Hi,
I registered my UDM, but how would I go about requesting a NEW switch?
eShine said:I got my switch off by just flicking the other one off by pulling it. Then while using a small eyeglass screwdriver you have to support the hole upwards while you snap the new switch in. You will understand what I mean if you just try popping the new switch in, the hole flexes and it wont snap in. Hope that makes sense.
