Typical English weather!

Just been out at lunchtime to give the Golf a once over.

Weather is cold, sky's grey but no signs of rain.

Manage to give the car a quick wash (I usually go over it twice) and think, "that'll do until the weekend". But then I see a bottle of Autoglym Glass polish I didnt know I had!

So there I am AG GP-ing the windows, everythings begining to haze nicely and bang, RAIN! You've never seen me move so fast!

It looks aweful but at least the car's the not black with dirt now....

Here's until the weekend.....

Yes, the great British weather, certainly keeps you on your toes.

By the way, you can buff the Autoglym before it starts to haze, it does reduce the performance slightly but can be useful at times.

I remember ole Blighty .... fields of golden wheat swaying in the warm summer breeze, the sound of water gurgling in the local brook while field mice play in the hedgerow ... ahhhhhh

Wait a minute ...I forgot the eight months a year that you never see direct sunlight, freezing fog and that damp winter air that chills you to the bone!

Maybe I'll stay in South Carolina after all!

(I'll let the Autopian Brits know next time I visit family so you can meet me at Gatwick and give me a slap for gloating so much!)

Not forgetting the sound of leather on willow and the songs from a nearby robin or skylark

Ahhh leather on willow, lazy Sunday afternoons and a good pint of English bitter from the pub behind the duck pond in the village, the one that dates back to the 1690's, like the crisps it sells!! :nervous:

Now you have me feeling all homesick! :sadwavey:

Anyone want to send me an emergency supply of Thorntons toffee, Walkers crisps and some English bacon? :brit :lol
