Two Corvettes...

Well its been about forever and a half since I've been on here and a lot has changed, no longer doing a whole lot of detailing anymore, but here are a couple that I have done.

First off my father-in-law's 78 Corvette which he traded for a $800 boat, btw the vette has 37K original miles and has been sitting since 85 because the owner thought it broke down and didn't know how to fix it. Turned out all it needed was a new ignition module. Now he is trying to sell it for $7500 which should be pretty easy to get. Anyways on to the detail...

All this was done by a PC and by hand.

Process:

Orange propel pad with Opt. Compound on speed 6 like a million passes lol

AIO with green pad on 5

UPP by hand

Nattys blue by hand

wheels got mothers polish and a lot of elbow grease!

Pictures arent the greatest quality but its better than nothing and I somehow didn't think to take pictures of the whole car before. :hairpull

And now for the other Corvette...

This one is my dad's new toy, the thing he has wanted for the last 50 years. lol He finally got his very own brand spankin new corvette! lol Fully loaded with everything but the Z06 package. This thing is BAD ***!

Process:

Mother's Sealer Glaze by hand (needed no buffing)

Natty's blue (and layering weekly with a wash)

Wheels got SmartWax brand wheel wax

All plastics got P21s

Interior and engine comp got nothing.

And hopefully soon I can post up my first new car purchase, which is my goal before Xmas...

Thanks for lookin!

Great turnaround on the first one!

Now, the second one...I'm more interested in those donut marks in the parking lot! How'd they get there???

Wow a $800 boat for that 78 vette :chuckle: Got to love that, looked like it would of been fun detailing those two, Looks good :up

Very nice work on the C3, you added at least $1000 to the value.

Congrats to your dad on the new C6, it looks great!

Thanks everyone and to answer all the questions...

The donut marks are not from the vette... my dad wouldn't do that to his brand new vette that isn't broken in yet... but when its broken in... thats a different story. lol Actually those marks are from me in my Firebird. lol

And how did the pad look? Well there were actually 5 of the orange. lol and they were all dark red by the end. And all the other pads were about the same. lol
