Turtle Wax Waffle Weave?

You guys think this is any good? I found it at my local Big Lots. Just a heads up, everyone should check there from time to time for detailing supplies. I picked up nearly the whole line of Meg's Gold Class brushes for about $15. Very nice brushes btw. Anyway, they had this TW micro fiber and I wondered if anyone had used it. Its only $5 but I don't want to pay $5 to scratch my paint... I'll probably buy it and cd test it and report back. It can dry wheels if it isn't paint-safe.

Ha...that bottom one is the old Meg's applicator, right down to the almost identical packaging (except for the color). Is the towel supposed to be a drying towel, or buffing? How big is it?
 
Their website states: "Extra large – 25” x 35” towel dries and polishes great."



It must be great then! ;)
 
It didnt' feel that great in person but to be honest I haven't felt a WW that was very soft. Meguiar's feels pretty rough as well. I'll test it out and report back. On another note the snow plow just plowed my street and threw rocks all over my car... I am pissed!:mad:
 
I bought one of those towels a few weeks ago because of the price I figured it would be good for something. Well I was wrong, it didn't dry very well at all and buffing was worse. I wouldn't recommend this towel even for the price.

Well, given the look of the applicators, I wouldn't expect this TW towel to be much different from that Meg's Water Magnet.
 
I had them in my hands at Big Lots, was not that impressed with it. I think I'll save my $5 and put it towards a good waffle weave from CG or something...
 
the only thing turtle wax products worth buying from big lots is the 2pk green square mf applicators (pictured above), and yellow foam applicator pads...
