Turtle Wax polishing compound!

" I had an White 87 Ford Ranger XLT that had been sitting around for a few years. After that time, the trucks white paint has black crusted on dirt all over. All the scrubbing and wax in the world would not remove these stains. I purchased this rubbing compound from "Pep Boys" for around 6 dollars as i recall. With a standard terry cloth towel this product would not work well, even though it is virtually liquid sand paper. Very abrasive. I used a green 3m scotch pad and applied the product liberally
and and it really removed the stains and the paint fast!
It took about 2 containers to do the whole vehicle, but the results were fair. I was not very pleased with this product and i can tell you i did not have high expectations either to make a rotting vehicle look new. Over all this product is just average, it truly is not a good product, but it gets the job done. I would not recommend this product, instead get a high level grit clay bar from "Meguires", and you will be better off.
