Turkey Day Vacation?

Anyone taking vacation? Leaving town, state, country, or staying home?

I am leaving for Missouri Monday night and returning the folloing Monday.
Much needed rest time...... Going to my Parents' house up there. And my Grandmother is driving down from Upstate NY in an RV....Looooong trip.
So, it will be a full house up there.....
Will take me about 12 hours of driving....depending on the kids.... That is why I like to drive at night.....everyone is sleeping!

So.....anyone?
 
We are making two and possibly three trips in Decemeber. That's enoguh travel for one time frame. We're sticking around here for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. I think we'll have smoked turkey breast for dinner. Maybe I'll toss a couple racks of baby backs on the smoker too. :)
 
I normally make a trip to Iowa to see my Mother. She is not in good condition mentally but her health is quite good. Having been gone for seven months, while in Alaska, my brother in Iowa told me to get home. My mother would not know that I was there. So guiltily, I am not going to Iowa and will spend the Holidays with my immediate family, thankfully being thankful.

Anyone traveling....Please be careful out there!! Enjoy the time of festivities with family and friends. All of them are far to fleeting.
 
No Vacation for me Chris,My Daughter Nichole will have thanksgiving at her house for the first time..You can imagine that ..My 1st born will be hosting her first Holiday other then this past fourth of July..Kind of nice nichole and her grandmother will be cooking side by side for the 1st time :)

btw,Today must be her Lucky day..she scored the New Playstation 3:ladies To my Mom & Nichole:
 
Hey Chris...whereabout in Missouri are you going? I'm actually leaving MO to go visit my brother and his family up in Valparaiso, IN.

I'm really looking forward to the relaxing drive and spending time with everyone...it's been a stressful past few weeks and I can use a bit of time away from work.

Central Missouri. Town called St. Robert. Next to the Military Base, Ft. Leonard Wood.
Smack between Rolla and Lebanon on I-44
Cannot wait to hit the road Monday night, though I have 2 jobs that day....dang it
 
Mine is reversed.....I've been out of town and came back home for Turkey day week. The Sunday after T day I have a Caddy to detail then hit the road on Monday for another week or so.
