turbo vs. turbo ...

This morning a Stratus RT passed me a few times while driving to work, we got to the entrance of a 3 lane road a the same time, the guy was looking at me thru his mirror and took of, I was in 2nd gear already, hitted 6000, third gear, passed him easy... shifted to fourth and easied on the gas as we catched on traffic, he kept trying ...

Stratus is probably 100Kg heavier than my car , 4 cylinder 2.4 L intercooled turbo 160hp, that is 20 Hp less, 4 sp. automatic vs. 6sp manual, and most likely longer gears.

I had a GTI trying to race just 2 days ago, did not follow as we were in an urban area .

Raced another Leon a few weeks ago ... yeeha ... long time ago since I got to my desk with shaky knees ... and it is a 10 min walk from the parking lot ...

I'll like to go vs. an Audi (A4, TT, A3, S3) even I get spanked, altough there are not too many and I have never seen one driven hard.

Get a chip!!!!

You car has 180 hp I think.......you could easily get it to 220 hp with a chip.....and still have an OEM program, and a high boost program.....the ECU is the same as those on audis and VWs, you should call APR and check with them.......

I know that what I have written has nothing to do with the race, but I have driven several stock 1.8T and several chipped 1.8Ts and the difference is :xyxthumbs really!!

street racing :nono

don't do it. it'll get you killed. a couple years a ubddy of my brothers got killed doin over 120 down a four lane road. a tractor trailer truck was making a left turn from the turn lane, and never saw the kid coming. He was decapitated. (spelling?)

They wouldn't even put the car on schoool grounds like they do most, it was too messy.

That is sick and twisted IMO.

Sure, setting an example is one thing, but reminding the kids' friends that they died everyday when they go to school is another.
