Tune in now to see beautifully detailed cars

The Game is on....

The Muscle Car market has exploded. a 70 Boss 302 went over 70k...

a 61 Chrysler 300G 413 Wedge long ram dual quad...3 speed...sold for $190,000.

I just got a great idea from watching: at a show, place mirrors on the carpet to show the underside of the dash! :D :D

That was a nice touch.

That 57 was incredible wasn't it? But..as they said...what do you do with it? If you drive it you drop the value 20% immediately.

I have to ask: What the heck do the people bidding on 100,000 auctions do for a living (and what do need to do to become one)?

$100,000 for a 55 T-Bird convertible! And the guy told the girl who was taking his bid: "Its only money"!!!! :shocked

$250,000 for a Hemi Cuda! (the orange and black one).

YAh that was huge $$$ for the Hemi Cuda. What did the clone go for? It looks like we are headed back to the days of $200-500 collector cars. Dont you wish you could have bought a few of those huge $$$ cars when the market absolutely crashed in the 90's? I agree about the buyers of these cars, look at all those buyers buying these $100+k cars. Its nuts, my house only cost $250k. Id love to be able to buy $100k cars, but I cant complain with my multiple $20-30k cars.

Did you see that Bentley Arnage T only sold for $147k, when it cost $359 new? And I really like the orange pro-street Checvy II (even though Im a ford guy) for $80k

Did you notice the same a$$hole was rubbing against that car too? He is always touching the cars...

For the first time in my life I may actually e mail in and complain to Bob Varsha about that guy. Annoys me to death.

As far as the money comments: Man I wish I could pay off my CC and be at ZERO :D

PS: I say god bless all who have lots of money - must be a good feeling.

The Hemi Cuda went 250 in...what..90 seconds?

The Clone went for 86k.

It'll be interesting to see what this Packard goes for.

I dunno about the bidders...but I'd bet most are just people who have made a good deal of money and have decided that this is the car they want. There must be a reason why they're willing to buy these..although these are mostly very special examples..rather than other nice but not as well documented cars for way less.

Ah..Packard sold for $39...wow.

I should have bought that numbers matching, body off resto 1970 LS6 454 Chevelle for $4100 in 1981 when I had the chance (but no money!). :(

I guess if you can say anything was a bargain it has to be the Hemi Road Runner at 62...or the Clone Hemi Cuda at 86.

But that Foos/Coddington Stude at..what..62? was a terrific value as well.

DId you notice that the same guy who bought the 61 300G for $190k also bought the 30's Plymouth race car for $70k? Who says there's no money in this economy?

<sigh>

Ok...so now what...do the $90,000 Bel Air's become $125,000 Bel Airs or have they topped out?

I mean.. I respect the 5/6/7's but they really are of little collector interest to me...and I'll bet even less to the 20 somethings who'll be the buyers in 10 years.

Will the 5/6/7 T Birds keep going up? I've only ever driven one once ...it was not a fun car to drive. Back in the day people killed themselves in those cars with some regularity.

I guess we'll see some serious money being spent tomorrow That flip top Corvette should go big? Why no 60's GTO's?

...when does Chezoom go across..tomorrow or Sunday?

Who details the cars at Barrett Jackson, more so what products did they use. I see that when they scan the grounds that Meguiars has a booth there. Maybe.

I presume that the sellers are responsible for their detailing arrangements. There are inspection services on site...so why not detail services as well?

Chezoom just went for 345k.

and one car for $3 Million! That sun of a gun in the red Ferrari jacket is buying (for "gateway" auto museum) up alot of cars.

Who is he?
