Trying to explain dealer prep to a customer...ughh....

Wait, so why is only the hood swirled and scratched? Shouldn't the whole car be swirled? So that's more of a problem. If that's the case and mitch only polishes out the hood, the guy might see the other swirls and get pissed again. So for him to polish out the swirls isn't a little one hour ordeal. At least that's what I think, I might have misunderstood this, and if so, I apologize.

That's all he can see in the garage under the lighting. I'm not polishing out the hood or anything, I will glaze it to prove the Audi "hourly" detailer did in fact glaze it to conceal the problems.

The car will end up getting a full detail by yours truly in March sometime.

My thought is, if this guy just bought the car, you probably should have given it a good look before you washed it. If you knew the dealer probably swirled it up, I would think, especially on black, that a a good alcohol wipe down maybe should have been done to make sure the paint was truly what it looked like.

It was 36 degress outside and it was just a quick wash....time was of the essence for the two of us. No sunlight, and after I pulled the car in, I had to jet.
