First off, as far as I`m concerned, after 9/11 Giuliani could have run for Emperor for life, and I would have voted for him.. I don`t know where you are, but it`s not anywhere near NY. The way he handled the incident and the aftermath... Was nothing short of incredible.

KKK hiding in the republican party??? They like the blm`ers will use any excuse they can to forward their agenda/cause/stupidity/violence.
Jobless rates are low ?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Only if you look at part of the govt stats....... Cuz if you stop looking, you are not considered part of the work force. Interest rates are low all over the world. The only thing America had to do with that is the garbage economy so it had to be kept artificially low as well as the fed was going to raise it, but decided to hold off till after the election. So it goes up in Dec or next quarter. And gas is low because America has gas, and the oil cartel though they could put us under by keeping supply up, prices low so it wasn`t worth us fracking/drilling.

But as you said, not everything is black and white.

Joblessness at an all time low?! Try underemployment. Just because Walmart creates 1000 minimum wage jobs doesn`t mean the economy is great. Small business is getting its a$$ handed to it right now and middle America is struggling to survive.

I may be wrong but hey why else did 3/4 of middle America light up red this christmas season? Must all be in the KKK right?

Exactly, unfortunately not all of us can understand supply and demand. Opec has always been evil.

Now that fracking is out you will see prices rise. They literally did what china did to the US and Japan with LCD screens way back.

This thread should be studied as an example of how completely deaf people can be when discussing dissenting opinions.

You have one side calling out the other sides` bias and then linking to OBVIOUSLY biased websites, and then you have the other side with the classic strawman arguments. Nobody will directly to respond to arguments. They just talk in hypothetical situations and anecdotes. Unbelievable. I hate that political threads are always the most popular ones on this forum, because I get sick of seeing them. I`d love to discuss it without all the nonsense but it`s impossible.

I 100% agree with you Heisenberg. In-fact I find myself visiting this forum less and less because of it.

Sure I can. Do it all the time. That`s not what I said. I said I get sick of seeing this one and all the others. It`s not as bad after the election but prior to it was like this wasn`t even a detailing forum.
 
Don`t confuse "The New York Times/New York Times Magazine/The New Yorker" with "New York Magazine".

I`m a *HUGE* fan of the latter, even though they sometimes do skew-Left. In between the gossipy NYC Society articles they so some of the *BEST* invetigative journalism in the business bar none.

I Haven`t gotten to their "Loser" issue yet, still a week or so behind. But an incorrect prediction/anti-trump article, or two...won`t change my opinion of that magazine in general. IMO it`s right up there with Smithsonian.

So there ;)

there are communists beyond what soviet russia was. Id like you to find an act that communists have committed outside of Russia that compares to the hate crimes and murders that the KKK has committed in the past.
 
I enjoy this forum for its diverse views and educated members. It`s a good way for me to check in on how people with similar interests to me feel about the world. Debate is a good thing and it is (usually) done here without slamming the other persons beliefs or belief system. If we all agreed about everything it would be a pretty boring world. We debate about Rupes vs Griots, Chevy vs Ford vs MOPAR, and Trump vs Clinton. Everyone has an opinion and it`s good to hear them all, even if you do not agree with what is being said.

I understand supply and demand. I took Macro and Micro Econ in college and I remember about a third of it. I also was in charge of monitoring the worlds oil stocks for 18 months as the 3rd Army Fuel and Water Officer during Desert Storm times. I used to get into some big arguments on gas prices back then about the oversupply of oil and strategic reserve levels, so if anyone ever wants to go in depth about gas and oil prices pm me. I will even discuss fracking and the environment.

The KKK thing gets to me. Again, I keep hoping it will die off, but it always seems to rear it`s ugly head in one form or another. My Grandfather was a member of the KKK. That shouldn`t shock too many people. I`m a Southerner and it was a big thing down here once apon a time. The Grand Wizard David Duke through his support behind Trump and I was appalled Trump didn`t come out and say he would not accept support from any hate group (or person tied to said group). I don`t know much about the Communist Party in the US backing Clinton. Someone might enlighten me on their ideology. I just figured they were for communism. My degree is in Psychology but I was a PolySci major for a year and I seem to remember that the US has components of communism and socialism within it. There are good and bad in all types of government. There is no place where pure communism or pure socialism exists (that I know of). I do think Russia had way too much influence in OUR election. America is our country and we can screw it up without any help.
