Im having trouble locating one of these. I went to Lowe's and Home Depot. Lowe's only had the PC 7336. Home Depot doesnt even carry them.

I can find them on eBay for $106.00 plus $16.00 shipping.

You're better off ordering it online in a combo kit that comes with pads. And the 7336 is essentially the same thing, I think it has a different counterweight, but it's basically the same thing. Home Depot doesn't carry it.

When I bought my PC I looked at the combo kits. In the end it was cheaper to buy the 7336 at Lowe's and then buy a pad kit and polishes on-line.

They say that the only difference between the 2 machines is the counter-weight. Im just trying to get the machines to match up. Hopefully someone can give us some insight on whether its neccessary.

There have been many posts in the past where people can't feel any difference in the counter weights. Just get it at Lowes and buy a good backing plate and pads from one of the vendors. You'll be a happy camper and got a PC at a great price.

Thanks Ben Kenobi for the reply. The only reason I was looking for the 7424 is because I didnt want to buy the counter weight and have to change it out on a 7336. I'll see about getting a 7336 soon.

Yeah. You don't need to change out the counter weight if you buy a 7336. First, a lot of people who buy the 7424 change out the weight for the larger one that comes in the 7336. Second, most people can't tell the difference between the two weights.

You're quite welcome Atrocity! Mikeyc thanks for your input. You guys are lucky you have Lowes to shop with. Prices for PC's are a lot more here even on sale. Good luck and you'll love using it.

First of all, I can tell the difference between the counterweights. When I had the smaller counterweight on mine, I borrowed someone's 7336 and initially couldn't figure why it seemed so much smoother at high speeds. So the 7336 is the machine. The larger counterweights are available from many online suppliers, certainly CMA and Excel, and I'm sure plenty others.
