Trip To Chemical Guys Store.....

I didnt think CG and Warner were the same company or related any other way except as purchasers?

You mean Warner is just a supplier to CG? I dunno, when CG first came to prominence here, someone (I think it was DavidB) said they were owned by Warner. If so, I would call them the "retail" arm.

Certainly there were some product pictures that CG had on their website that were Warner's bottles, that's kind of a big error if they're not the parent.

your arm is going to fall off if you go through all those jugs!!!!!

Before doing what I do now, I was a commercial/industrial real estate broker for 10 years and worked the south bay area exclusively. Chemical Guys and microfibershop.com is in Inglewood across from Hollywood park. It is in a small multi tenant industrial park. All Guard was in that industrial park which was a Warner Chemical brand and I think they just changed the name to Chemical Guys. Warner Chemical is a manufacturer (blender) in Gardena, CA which I have been inside. Another division of Warner Chemical is J.B. Chemical which sells the Kem-O-Pro brand (google search). There are lots of local chemical companies in the area providing polymers resins waxes carnubas etc. I have walked through many of them. Many have multiple business names under the same roof or supply product to other brands or do private labeling. I did search on this site regarding private labeling and can see you all get hot under the collar regarding this. If you want drums….buy from Warner. If you want jugs….buy from chemical guys. If you want 16oz….buy xxx.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I went to the track many times over the season and could have stoped by but dont I have a need to buy gallons of anything but 91 octane. If they had everything in 16oz I would go check it out.

maybe I will stop by and buy one mf towel next week :-)

I looked at the site and they seem to have a variety of product in 16oz. I'll have to go spend some money there :-)

Even if they don't have the particular product in a 16oz size, they have always been happy to pour me a bottle if I asked for it.

I don't have much experience with CG's really. Only tried two products and frankly was not impressed. Of course their other stuff may be excellent.

I know one thing, they need to improve the names of their products and make waterproof labels.

Nice pile of products in those pics.

One of these days I'll have to take my camera along to Hi-Temp here in Omaha. Their storefront is tiny (although I haven't seen it since they finished remodeling), but what I really want is a tour of the inner-workings. Hmmmm . . . I have a couple of weeks of vacation coming up over the holidays; maybe I can arrange a little show-n-tell with them.

Great idea, Tort! I didn't realize they were in Omaha.
Yup. I'm lucky; a fifteen minute drive, and I have their entire inventory at my disposal . . . very convenient, as Heavy Cut/357 Magnum has become my "go-to" polish lately for neglected vehicles.

If I don't get lazy over the holidays, I'll see what I can do about some pics.

+100000000000000

Also guys, the Danase' product line is modified CG and all 16 ouncers....

A great idea - "invade a manufacturer tours"

Act like spies, snapping pics at every second and get into the inner sanctum and try and snuff out any secrets or products in development.

Just like spies who take sneaky pics of new cars before release.

I just went there yesterday to buy some microfibe stuff. The pics of the store is pretty much what it is. They just had a seminar that day so the place was kinda thrashed when i got there. A bunch of Gorilla racks and a bunch of CG stuff. The store isn't huge like majority of you guys expected it to be. A big store just makes it harder to find things for me. I like quickies, in and out buy it and split. I met a dude Mark, he sounds foreign russian maybe i dunno. He's a really cool guy. He's the only employee there i think. He let browse, and cruise in the store while was buffin out a red rabbit outside for his customer. I coulda swipe them 50/50 if I wanted too. HAHA. ..I just did pete's53 instead:chuckle: I rolled in with my Bimmer so he prolly thought I was loaded, and wont give him a five finger discount. (Which I didn't of course.) There was lotsa samples lying around and I'm pretty sure he'd hook you up if you ask. Bottom line is, you like big fancy store go PepBoys. You like to get hooked up and possibly get freeby products, which all you mofo's like, then check out the store. Who knows maybe Mark can edumacate ya on some stuff. I live like 20 mins from there, so I don't mind the drive. I think yall better off stickin to the Internet store. It's nicer and ummm....bigger. I got hooked up with some citrus wash and gonna try it out now. The wash looks pretty wicked, kinda like a pearl milkyish yellow mellow...laters.
