Trio of rare Italian extotics found in dusty Texas barn

It's a shame they sat that long. Seals
will be shot.
That's 10-40k (dependent) to go through each Ferrari mechanically just seals. The Maserati could be the same.

That is before detailing. Hopefully the stainless on the Bora doesnt need rebrushed. That's a week long process in itself.
Still if all goes well after Daytona 300-320k, Dino 130-150k Bora 85-110k euro would be more.
That's if no bid war due to originality Nice find!

In reading what was posted in the forum, they are going to need some serious work. But the fact that are in original condition, the parts alone could be worth a lot. Anyone that has the cash to buy these has the cash for restoration! :D

When will Todd be posting his "BuffFest III" featuring these 3?

:huh::huh::huh:

Made a quick check. These will be at Mecum Monterey CA auction. There is a beautiful Maserati Birdcage going across the block.
I saw the Birdcage at Mecum Indy.
I was on the block for the rosa barchetta (maroon) daytona 310k with commission. It will be an upcoming project.
Don't know how close you are. It's like a massive car show with everything for everyone.

I am aware of the auction, its about 125 miles north of me. It would be great to see it in action!

See the following post. There is a second one that is sure to follow soon.

i saw that, talented guy for the most part. But I'm not WOW'ed by it, like some are here. :D:D:D

That's an awesome group of cars. I never can understand how they get stashed away for so long though.

Barn finds are all the rage especially Ferrari's if these fire up and run fine with no issues something is amiss.

I guess I just can't imagine owning one of those cars and forgetting about it in the barn. Bu then again I've got my TA that gets left in storage for long periods of time and I don't even think about it

I'm no dummy to "barn find" fraud. By all means not saying this is the case.
Not only once have I caught it.
Take a clean car in and out, fine mist w/water shut the doors of the barn, blow the place down, let sit, when the dust settles you have what appears to be years of dust. There is no trace anyone was there. It does happen. When someone gets caught it gets very ugly. Tip off, no mechanical issues or rodent.
No matter what this is a nice trio.

I will say the inside leather looked pretty darn good, but then it could be pretty dried out.

The NH plates are kind of odd thing for a find in TX:cool:

Very interesting and something that I would have never considered. Sadly there are people (probably more than I think) who would do stuff like that.

Me neither till I personally encountered something very very similar at an auction. Let's just say I was given an option to shut my mouth. Wasn't pretty. People will do anything for money. It really doesn't happen in the high end low volume cars. That I know of.
I didn't mean to sidetrack the tread just leery of "barn finds" now.
