Trim Restorer Showdown - Round 2 *Updated 7/8/14 (6 months)(Long and Pic heavy)

This was a fantastic read. So would something like this be a good idea to use on a dashboard of vinyl or just hard plastics?

I don`t mean to be off topic and the length of depth of this test is absolutely fantastic. But my question is- what are some of the top products to use on trim to prevent it getting to fade in the first place?

I`d *guess* that the fading comes from UV exposure, so using something like OCW which presumably blocks the UV oughta do it.

For some reason (maybe it`s because I use LSP-based approaches on trim) I just haven`t had my trim fade. It`s *been* terribly faded on some used purchases, but once cleaned up and treated it`s always stayed nice.

303 usually washes off pretty quickly. I only use it on interiors. I would like to see a new version of this test. I remember one about a year ago on the tonneau of a truck. I`m using Solution Finish followed by CarPro DLux for severely faded trim or Wolfgang Trim Restorer on trim that is in decent shape.

What an amazing test! Thanks so much for taking the time to do it. Excellent controls and well thought out and an amazing range of products to test

I know earlier in this thread you mentioned further testing, I was wondering if you might try the heat gun technique

Also

I have been trying to noodle around to find someone who sells Carmor Fade to New. I found some on Amazon but it`s the 32 oz size selling for $250. Any info on where to buy it would be appreciated

Thanks again for all your time and effort, cheers
