Trim question

I have some trim around the passenger side mirror and on the mirror bezel. It looks like it was cleaned once with a strong acidic cleaner. Is there a way to remove this? Ive used Pre-Wow trim cleaner, strong dilution of APC, and CarPro eraser. Does it just need to be lightly sanded?

Getting ready to coat with DLUX.

It looks to be textured, so sanding might not work. Solution Finish, which is a black dye might blacken and hide the scratches.

Not textured...smooth plastic. May try to use some paint prep wax and grease remover or mineral spirits to see if can be smoothed out. Push comes to shove ill sand it down a little. Just curious if anyone has seen this and see what they did.

You may want to try some Griots Garage Plastic Polish or some Meguiars Plastic X. I haven't used the Griots but the description says that it can be used on clear or colored plastics to remove minor scratches.

Clear up the cloudiness with Griot's Garage Plastic Polish! This fine polish removes minor scratches and dullness from clear and colored auto plastics quickly and safely. It works gently on softer plastics and produces great results on hard plastics. Use Griot's Garage Plastic Polish on automotive and motorcycle plastics to bring back the shine!

Looks like it was hit with a buffer?

I thought that to but there is actual depth in some scratches so to me it seems like a chemical and not a foam rubbing over it. It doesnt have that look up close as a buffer hit it....trust me I've done it before and learned a lesson.

Thanks yall. Im going to hit some minerals spirit and wax remover along with some plastx and if that dont do it oh well. Getting a coat of dlux and ill pick up a new bezel.
