Trim Protectant Running

I just had to get another black SUV, but I forgot about the problems I have with the trim. It seem that no matter what I put on it as soon as it rains, it runs off the trim and onto the paint. I had some PB Trim Restorer and I love the way it looks but as soon as it rains it runs right down the side of the door when I put it on the door handles and mirror housings no matter how little I put on and how much I buff it off. Does anyone know of a product that will not run. Yes, the trim is textured.
 
You might want to try applying a small amount and giving it time to sit on the trim. Then go back after you have let it sit on the trim and buff very well. Just a suggestion. :)
 
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a little more time. Nothing completes a detail on a black car like giving the trim a little love.

i have 2 suggestions. take my word for it, they solved my problems with tirm a while back that nothing would fic.

1. u can always AIO the textures/non-textured trim and just leave it with a flat black look. i tend to only prefer that on plastic. barely on rubber. but to he his own.

2. apply trim restorer. let dwell. buff off. then follow it with spray and gloss. it really works. it removes the top layer of the trim restorer that didnt get absorbed and just leaves a clean well moisturized rubber.

give it a try. ;)

Thanks for the S&G tip. I have really long lasting results on my CR-V's trim with TR, dwell and buff with PC/finishing pad/short-nap, MF bonnet. I think that S&G tip will get those little edges taht can't be hit with the PC.
