Tried a different combo today

I detailed a 2010 black camry that had never been detailed before. I decided to try a combo I had never tried before. M105 M205 followed by Poorboys EX topped with natty's blue paste wax. It came out pretty good.

I keep reading about this M105 and 205...are these compounds or polishes? How would they match up to SSR line? in terms of cut

M105 is a ultra cut compound suppose to be the most abrassive compund Meguairs makes. It doesn't break down it can be hard to work with until you get a feel for it I like it. M205 is s finishing polish at least according to Meguairs bio of the product. It leaves a nice finish and shine. When using M205 I can skip the polishing step and go right to a sealant most of the time. As far as comparing M105 and M205 to Poorboys SSR line. I think the M105 would be on par with the SSR2.5 from my experience. The M205 would compare to the SSR1 with a better finish in my opinion. I still prefer Poorboys products overall they are a lot easier to work with. I've been using Poorboys products for a few years now they are still my bread and butter products. Every now and then I will try something new. Keep in mind this was the first time this Camry had been detailed. It had some scratches swirl marks and a couple of paint marks from doors hitting up against it. So that's why I chose such a strong compound to correct the paint.

M105 is more on par with SSR3. SSR2.5 is more in line with Megs #83

Either way it goes you cant go wrong with the M105/205 combo. Both are SMAT products and finish out well.

I haven't used Megs #83 have to try it one day. I have used M105 and SSR3 and SSR2.5. I still think SSR3 is a little more agressive than M105 just from my experience. Anyone with more knowledge about this feel free to chime in. I do agree all products mentioned are good products.
