We had some big storms last week. As I was out driving yesterday there was a low hanging branch I didn't see in time and couldn't swerve into the other lane. It drug across the hood and roof of my 97 F150. About 4 lines the length of the hood and cab.
I used my Milwaukee rotary on the top of the cab with #83. Completely removed the scratches. First use of the rotary and slung stuff everywhere!!! Plus if I screwd it up, no one could see it. Used the PC on the hood with the #83 and a yellow pad and then Perfect It III Machine Glaze with a white pad. Scratches are gone, but some of the swirls and cobwebs still remain. Need to spend some more time on it I guess. Topped it off with #16. Will try again to do a better job in about a month. A lot of work travel for the next 3 weeks.
Any ideas as to why the #83 could remove the scratches but not the swirls from the hood?
