Great job with the car! Dog hair takes time regardless of what tools you have at your disposal. I’m sure it didn’t feel like it but you knocked it out pretty quick actually.



Also, thanks for taking care of the dogs that need the attention. I appreciate people like you and your wife. Of course I am a dog lover and y’all do wonders for them. Thanks again!



I've had 3 dogs so far. They have ALL been rescues and are the best dogs anyone could ask for. I will always rescue as there are entirely too many good dogs that need good homes. It’s funny too because the love they give back is unreal. It’s as if they are always thankful that we helped them out. :D
 
I bet if you emptied out your vacuum, you'd have enough dog hair in there to make your own dog!

Hats off to you! The car came out beautiful. Even without considering the amount of time you spent, it's truly a huge turnaround! Excellent cause too!
 
Thanks for all the compliments guys. We don't have kids, so we do what he can to help with the needy dogs. Typically, pitbulls and large hounds are the last to get adopted. After all, not many suburban families think to go looking for a large coon hound when they decide to get a pet. However, we can take a large coon hound, house train it, teach it to play fetch, walk nicely on a leash, and obey commands - this typically makes the dog much more marketable to adopters, and makes the dog a nice pet once adopted. I won't even get in to the stereotypes surrounding pitbulls.



Regarding the car, I have a small extractor, but I decided to use the Shop Vac, and a foaming carpet cleaner on the carpets. Typically the foaming cleaners pull dirt up, versus soaking down into the carpets. Brushing the carpet frequently while vacuuming is also key for loosening and bringing as much dirt upwards as possible. With the limited amount of time, I didn't want to introduce any moisture to the carpets that I couldn't get out 100% before returning the car, as I didn't want it to smell like a wet dog. I did have some Meguiar's odor eliminator that I sprayed the carpet down with after I got them clean.



Since I began detailing, I have always felt interiors were my weak point. I like to take on jobs like this to challenge myself, and to increase my skill set.
 
Any reason you didn't remove the free advertisement from their trunk for them?

Yeah, because when you only have 5 and a half hours to detail a PIG like that, taking 15 minutes to remove a dealer sticker isn't a good return on time invested.

If you polish around it, it's worth the ten seconds or so to remove it. That's just my logic. :2thumbs:
