Trash in paint

last christmas I got the front of my car painted. The hood, front fenders and they also sprayed the drivers door to blend in the paint. Now what I am finding more and more are little raised bumps almost like dirt grains. I am afraid to try to pick them off becuase I dont want to make the paint flake off. It looks like my car has zits!

The problem areas are along the door strip on my drivers side door. Another area is right beside the door handle.

What can I do that will not damage the paint and remove the bumps trash whatever.

You may not be able to fix this problem without repainting the affected areas.
That said, a body supply store will probably have a small section of a file mounted on a wood block that is made for just this purpose. It might also be possible to wetsand the raised areas to help some. If you do sand, be sure to use a sanding block and not just your fingers. The idea is to take off the raised areas without removing anymore of the surrounding paint than necessary. Some compunding or polishing will probably be needed after either the file or the wetsanding. It might be more of a project than a hobby detailer wants to undertake.
One thing to keep in mind, the contaminants may be under/in the paint and the finished appearance might not be what you wanted.

Can you post a picture of this issue? I have 1 little spot on my car that sounds similar...it is a factory paint job.

I've been afraid to do anything to it for fear that it is a bubble.
