Trans Am WS6 Paint Correction

I initially thought the paint just had the normal swirls like most cars until I really starting examining the paint under my lights.

A lot of the damage on the hood and front bumper was really deep. I ended up having to go with 2000 grit wet sanding on the entire hood and front bumper. There is still some defects but I didn't want to risk going through the clearcoat. The hood and front bumper will evetually get recleared because of this. There were a few scratches that were wet sanded but were too deep so I will have to use some touch up paint and wet sanding to blend it in but I didn't have time for that this time around.

I put about 10 hours into the wet sanding, compounding with Meznerna Fast Gloss 400, polishing with Menzerna Power Finish 2500, and jeweling with Menzerna Super Finish 4500. I topped the car with Bouncer's Sherbert Fizz wax.

The rims were polished with Menzerna Fast Gloss 400 with a 4" orange pad on my PC.

I didn't take any before pictures of the total car because it wasn't dirty. I washed it with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss to stripe the paint. I clayed it with a Speedy Prep Medium grade towel because I don't think it has ever seen one in its life. I think that about wraps it up. The car is really a head turner now with all the work on the paint. Enjoy the pics.
