Trade Secret - Your thoughts and pics

I'm trying to contemplate my next wax purchase. I currently have S100/P21S and Natty's, but have tried CMW, Trade Secret, and a couple others.

My results with Trade Secret were that it was pretty easy to apply. It smelled amazing. The look was a very warm, wet glow, that really brought out the metallic flake.

Now, like I said, I have tried it. However, I tried a sample given to me by Jngrbrdman (Thanks Anthony :) ). I would like to try on other colors, but first I want to make sure I'm making the right decision :D

Trade Secret users, how would you compare it to other waxes you have used? Pics would be excellent.

Thanks in advance!

The only "waxes" I have are Collinite, TS, and Hi Temp black so I can't comment on the others. But here's a Mustang I did that has I believe 4 coats of TS on top of NXT that got 1st place at a car show. I really like the look of TS and found that you need to layer it to get any durability. I've got 5 coats on top of EX and SG on my truck and it's still holding up.

TS will deepen the color of blues/reds/darks - I forget who it was but someone had 10 coats of TS on his Blue RSX and it was a darker deeper blue after 10 coats. I find the same on my antharcite grey metallic - over UPP it's just amazing. Doesn't last long it the only problem.

Great "beauty wax" IMO. I love it as a topper, but it does lack durability. Ease of use and results are spectacular. I will try and dig up some pics when I get home.

Honestly, I have 1000's of pictures I could show you, but as a paste wax fanatic, your color above would look best with Poorboy's Natty's. With it being a white/creamish/lighter, Natty's just does a better job of showing it off. I absolutely love TS on a dark car (which it was meant for), but Natty's is similar in application and removal. An application of Poorboy's Polish with Carnauba before wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Thanks for the replies. :)

I am looking to use TS as a topper for red's mostly, but other dark colors as well...with or without metallics.

EBP: I love that pic. The depth is amazing! The clouds are soo clearly reflected.

How have you kept your trim so new looking?

Thanks man!!!

The trim was dressed weekly with #40 for about the first two years, sine then AIO/UPP. I apply it about once a month and it really works great!!! I wipe on/wipe off with the UPP on trim.

There are a lot of great carnauba waxes on the market. TS is one of them! :bigups It's ability to darken and deepen is certainly a plus on certain colors.

I've used Trade Secret wax for almost 2 yrs. now. Gives my black Camry a really dark wet look. I've used other waxes as well (CK, Blitz, Natty's, S100, etc.) and the closest I've seen compared to it's look is Clearkote's Carnuaba Moose. I've never really had to go more than 1-2 coats with it to give the look I wanted. I recently tried it over Car Polishes' Final Polish (this polymer sealant really gives a darkened look as well) and I've been happy with the results. I don't think you could go wrong using it on any color.
It's only drawback as stated, is durability.

I've been using Klasse AIO with Sealant Glaze topper. I just got Trade Secret, applied two coats over Klasse and it noticeably increased the gloss and wet look shine. I'm very happy with TS.

Recently saw TOL compared TS more to P21s than Souveran. Seems like Souveran might still be the ultimate for looks. Has anyone compared TS to Souveran?

A lot of people think that TS and Souveran are the same thing. I don't know for I havent tried TS. I do think that Souveran is the best looking paste wax that I've tried on red. I'm comparing it to P21S and Natty's.

:wait Hey, anyone happen to have all: TS, P21s, Souveran and Natty'? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

I have all. Do a search on DC, and my answer will pop up as Trade Secret for 1 reason.

I did a search and couldn't find a clearcut answer.

Can you just write it out here. Thanks :)
