Hey all!!



Being iced in here in Georgia and not having anything better to do...I wound up shopping for detail products today!! :eek:



In the mood to try something different I placed an order for a jar of Trade Secret carnauba wax from TOL. I remember Sean posting a review on this product a few months back and comparing it to Souveran...so I figured...why not!



Has anyone else used this product and if so what are your thoughts and opinions on the look it provides, ease of use and durability? Also, what combo's have you used it with and did that make a measurable difference in its use?

ive tried it, and i love it...works great.. very easy to use... i tried it on my own car, and it really looked the best my car ever has. i have yet to try it on a dark car, which i hear is where it excels...



very close to souveran;)
 
I love it on dark colored metallics, it really makes them "pop."



The ease of use is along the lines of s100 and durability in Memphis on a garaged car is about 30 days. I use it as beauty wax or topper on sealants.

TS over Menzerna glaze, VM or #3 machine glaze looks incredibly deep and wet. It is one of my favorite carnauba toppers. *I* think souveran is wetter looking but not by much...it might be my brain trying to rationalize $70 price tag vs. $32 though ;)
 
I love TS as topper on my steelblue bimmer, it looks the best after 2/3 applications ;) , seems to darken leaving it wet and wow :D (very different from Meg#16, which I describe the look as clear and wet)



ps:I didn't find souveran special on my steelblue probably I'm the odd one out not impress with it :nixweiss
 
I also have a steel blue bimmer and havn't purchased Souveran as a result....... but cant wait to try TS in the spring, I have always used autoglym EGP with #16 as a topper, but am interested in how TS will look.

Trade secret is a fine wax indeed. Easy on.......... easy off, and a little goes a long way. I like how it darkens, and adds depth on medium and dark colors. However, it won't win any durability contest.

I'd love to know your thoughs of TS on silver, assuming your using it on your WS6. I plan on getting a metallic silver car this spring and i'm looking for something to give it the darkest look possible. TS might be on my list if I like the results.

Yep, I have been using TS now ever since its first mix. Got a chance to test it out. It was then re-done and it became a bit creamier, more spreadable and a new color and smell.



Tested that one out also for Irene and have been using it ever since. Super easy to use, as already noted, and it gives you a fair amount of durability. Deepens dark colors and leaves silvers glowing. It also won't stain trim, which is a nice plus.

How would you all that have used trade secret compare it to natty's if you have used it? I have an Aegean Blue (darkish blue)acura, I was gonna give souve a try but then again 60 bucks is a lot :( I think i have read that souve actually has decent durability. Im looking for a pure beauty wax to top zaino for the summer.
 
Trade Secret has great in my testing thus far.



It is a piece of cake to use...along the lines of Natty's or S100.



It leaves a reasonably slick, deep, glowing finish. Out of all of my waxes, it gives the most carnauba properties.

I have talked to a few who have done a side by side with Souveran on blacks and reds and have noted no noticeable differences. So, I will save my $30 and buy TS ;)

It is my understanding also that TS and Souveran have no distiguishable characteristics ;)
